[NEW 2.0] How to Use the Add or Edit Training Feature
In this feature, you will learn how to add or edit training for a group. This feature gives you the option to select an existing conference or create a new training from scratch.
Have you recently attended a conference or district-wide training that wasn't directly on the TrainU platform? No worries! Our Add Training feature allows you to manually input these external trainings, ensuring your staff receives credit for their time and efforts.
Adding Preloaded Conference Trainings
- Log in to TrainU.
- Navigate to the Training Menu: Click on the "Training" menu on the left navigation bar.
- Select "Add Training": Click the "Add Training" button.
- Choose Preloaded Conference: If you attended a state or national conference, you can select the specific breakout session from the preloaded list. The system will automatically populate the details, including dates, category codes, and time spent.
Adding Manual Trainings
- Log in to TrainU.
- Navigate to the Training Menu: Click on the "Training" menu on the left navigation bar.
- Select "Add Training": Click the "Add Training" button.
- Enter Training Name: Input the name of the training you attended.
- Select Attendees: Choose the users who participated in the training using the group, school, or search all users filters.
- Provide Training Details:
- Category Codes: Enter the appropriate category codes provided by the training provider. These can often be found on certificates. If not, select the closest matching code.
- Time Spent: Specify the duration of the training.
- Date: Input the date the training was held.
- Course Provider: Indicate the organization that provided the training.
- CEU Eligibility: If the training is eligible for CEU credits, toggle the CEU button.
- Attachments: Upload any relevant documents, such as agendas or certificates.
- Save Your Entry: Click "Save Training" to finalize your input.
Editing Existing Training Entries
- Navigate to the Edit Training Page: Access the page where you can modify existing training entries.
- Select the Training: Choose the specific training you want to edit.
- Make Necessary Changes: Modify the details as needed, such as the name, attendees, category codes, time spent, date, course provider, CEU eligibility, and attachments.
- Save Your Changes: Click "Save" to apply the updated information.
