How to Use the Bulletin Board | Add & Edit Your Contents!
The Bulletin Board is a great way to share updates, announcements, and resources with your team. This guide will walk you through how to create, customize, and edit bulletin posts on your TrainU account.
📝 Creating a New Bulletin Post
Go to the Bulletin Menu
From your dashboard, click on the Bulletin tab, then select “Add Bulletin.”Add a Title
Enter a clear and concise title for your bulletin post. This helps your staff easily identify the topic at a glance.Click “Add Bulletin” Again
After adding a title, click the “Add Bulletin” button again to open the post editor.
➕ Adding Content to Your Post
Inside the post editor, you can customize your bulletin with a variety of content types using the plus (+) button.
Text
Type or paste your message directly into the editor.Images
Click the plus button and select “Image” to upload an image from your device.-
Embedded Videos (YouTube or Vimeo)
Want to embed a video? Click the plus button, search for YouTube or Vimeo, and paste the embed link into the field provided.🔍 To get a YouTube embed link:
Go to the video you’d like to share.
Click the Share button underneath the video.
Click Copy to grab the link.
Paste it into the embed field on the bulletin editor.
🎉 New Feature Alert: Staff Acknowledgement for Bulletin Posts
What's New: You can now require staff to acknowledge bulletin posts after reading them, with automatic tracking in your reports!
How to Use:
- Navigate to the Editing page for your bulletin post
- Find the Categories section on the right side of the page
- Search for "Acknowledgement" and check the box next to it
- Publish your post
Important: The acknowledgement feature must be activated individually for each post where you want to track staff reading confirmation. Posts without this category selected will not require acknowledgement.
🌟 Optional: Add a Featured Image and Excerpt
Featured Image
On the right-hand menu of the editor, you can upload a Featured Image. This will visually represent your post on the bulletin board. It’s optional—but we highly recommend it to make your post stand out.Excerpt
Below the featured image, you’ll see an option to add an Excerpt.
This is a short description that will appear on the bulletin banner. It gives your staff a quick idea of what the post is about before they read the full content.
📤 Publishing Your Bulletin
Once you're happy with the content, click the “Publish” button in the upper right-hand corner to make your post live.
Your team will automatically be notified of the new post via their profile page.
✏️ Editing an Existing Bulletin
Need to make changes?
Go to the Manage tab and click “Bulletin.”
Select “Edit Bulletin.”
Find your post title and click it to reopen the editor.
Make your changes, then click “Update” to save.
That’s it—your updates will go live instantly.
