How to Use Kiosk Mode as a Supervisor
The Kiosk Mode feature on the TrainU website allows supervisors to quickly record attendance and mark staff as completed for a course after a group training session. This guide covers everything you need to know β from accessing your group, to adding new users, and updating attendance.
πΉ Step 1: Access Kiosk Mode
Once your Director has assigned you to a group, follow these steps:
Log in to your account.
From the left navigation bar, click Manage, then select Manage Groups from the menu.
Locate your assigned group and click the Kiosk Mode button next to it.
This will open the Kiosk panel, where you can add attendees from your meeting.
πΉ Step 2: Adding a New User
If an attendee is not yet in the system, you can add them manually:
Click the Add New User tab in the top corner of the pop-up window.
-
Enter the required details:
First Name and Last Name
Email Address (if available)
School Assignment
Employment Type β full-time or part-time
Password
-
Username β Use either:
The first part of their email address (before the β@β), or
Their employee ID number
Note: You can edit any of this information later β except the username.
Once saved, the new user will automatically be included in the group, allowing you to move on to the next user quickly.
πΉ Step 3: Updating Attendance
If an employee leaves the meeting early, click the Check Out button next to their name and enter the reason they had to leave.
All changes you are making are automatically saved.
